Get indexed, get ranked, get traffic

Monday, September 6th, 2010

It’s undeniable that the one thing you need to succeed in your online business is traffic. And free traffic beats everything else. And where’s the best place to get free traffic? Google and other search engines.

How does free search engine traffic work?

The process works in a way that you have experienced many many times. You go to Google. Type in something you’re looking for. Then you click on one of the pages that in displayed. That website owner has just enjoyed the benefit of free traffic. What need to figure out is how to get you free traffic.

You probably only visit a link or two from the first page of results. Actually, almost 100% of the free traffic goes to this first page of results. And what’s more, the first 3 get over 70% of the clicks.

This means that to get any real traffic you need to be on the first page in Google. And this means Google needs to “rank” you as a top 10 result. And this bring us to…

What is search engine optimization?

Search Engine Optimization is a measure of how well Google and other search engines think your website matches the search terms people are typing into their search boxes. The intricate formula Google uses to figure this out is really only known by Google. However, we do know a few things that count.

Getting indexed

First, before you can get ranked highly, Google has to know you exist. This is called getting “indexed.” This is when Google looks at your site and take notes about it, which are stored in their database.

Google needs to actually find your site in order to index it. And the best way for Google to find you is to get inbound links from other sites. Google will actually follow the links on sites it already has indexed to find new sites and index them.

A couple of great places to do this are in your Twitter or Facebook profiles. Google visits these sites many times every day. So any new links will be followed right away.

Gaining ranking

After this first hurdle, you need to start gaining ranking. Due to the massive size of the Google database – literally billions of pages – just getting indexed doesn’t do much for you.

There are three components of gaining ranking:

  • Content
  • Links
  • Activity

Great content

This is the SEO you do on your site itself. You need to make sure your content matches the search terms you’re going after. Obviously, the article you’re reading now is about search engine optimization. One way Google figures this out is from the fact that it contains the term SEO. Another reason is because there are related words, like website traffic, too.

The title of the page, the domain name and other pages on your site are also important. These all play a part in helping Google determine what your website is about.

Your links

The next thing to consider is your links. This includes both the inbound and outbound links. You want to make sure you have more inbound links than outbound links. The more inbound links you have the better your ranking will be.

Article spinning is a super easy way to get a bunch of inbound links. To use this technique you write articles related to the topic of your websites. Then you have to create multiple versions of this articles. And post unique versions to lots of websites that accept articles. And the more you do the better.

Getting activity

Finally, we know that Google gives you credit for the activity on your site. Static pages that just sit may rank at first, but will fall off over time. Google expects you to be updating your site regularly. One way to keep adding new content it through RSS feeds.

Comments from other people on your page are another fantastic way to keep your content updated. This means you need to get real live people to your site, as well. One simple method for doing this is to use forums.

Set up forum profiles with the ones related to your website. Then become active in the forum. And link back to yourself in your signature file. This generates even more links back to your site. And it will also get real visitors to your site.

Conclusion

It’s important that you do everything listed here. Unfortunately, rewriting your articles again and again. Setting up tons of profiles on forums. And visiting all the sites to post up your comments and articles takes a really long time. And you’re already too busy, so you mostly likely will never do any of it.

Fortunately, you can get rank builder software to do all the grunt work for you. So the best thing you can do is to automate this process. And then you’re sure to get it done. And not doing it means you will never get free traffic from Google.

Affiliate Marketing Revised

Friday, August 20th, 2010

OK, forget everything you know about affiliate marketing. Everything you’ve been taught is simply out of date. You need to adapt and change or perish.

You’ve been duped

You’ve been told it’s easy to get started as an affiliate. Well, that’s true . . . to a point There’s no doubt it’s easier than starting your own business. But starting your own business is really hard, so it’s all relative.

The bad news…

The worst part is that the information you’ve received is all wrong. You’re told to pick one of more products to promote. Next to look for easy keywords to target. Then buy some keyword ads that send traffic to the product. And finally get a fat check for all the sales. But, it’s all wrong.

Don’t bother with keywords

This method worked a couple years ago. But it’s just too competitive to use keywords now. It’s time for a paradigm shift.

The NEW game

All is not lost. Here’s how to win at this game.

  • Start using CPA marketing
  • Do demographics research
  • Use image ads

Start using CPA marketing

CPA stands for Cost Per Action. It’s much better than promoting a product. Because you don’t have to get people to spend money. You earn a commission for having them perform an “action”. Such as filling in a form. Which is much easier than getting them to buy something.

Utilize demographics data

Don’t waste time researching keywords (see below). So spend your time doing demographics research. First you select your CPA offer. Then go to a site like Quantcast.com. And research what kinds of people will be interested.

Do image ad marketing

So far, you’ve got your CPA offer and your target demographics. You can advertise directly to them on display networks. Using image ads. And you don’t need to know or buy a single keyword. And you’ll save a fortune. Image ad clicks are much cheaper.

Summary

This is truly a quick cash concept. Because getting started in CPA is free. It’s much cheaper to do image ads than keyword ads. You can laser target with demographics. And your commission is much easier to earn.

7 reasons why you MUST have your own info product

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Consider this: What’s the biggest reason millions of people log onto the internet each day? You probably already guessed that it’s to find information. Google alone serves up 400 million searches per day! Why should you care? This quest for information is an opportunity for you to fill a need. And when done correctly, you can get paid for it, too!

Info marketing 101

First of all, an info business is the least complex business possible. You take information and turn it into a digital product – like and ebook. And other people buy this product to get the info. Sounds simple enough, right?

But how does it all work?

You’ve got the basic concept – exchange info for money. In order to be successful there has to be value in the info you’re selling. So the key is to figure out what people want. How can you find out what people want?

One easy way to figure it out is with a simple search. Visit answers.yahoo.com or similar sites and you’ll get a good idea of the kinds of things people need help with. Your goal is to find a common problem. Something that most people don’t already know. Then just give them the answer in your ebook.

Think about this:

If you’re concerned about information product development Consider this: An info product is just a bunch of articles strung together. Writing a whole ebook can be overwhelming. Focus on one article at a time. And when you’ve got a few finished, expand and embellish them and put them together into an ebook.

OK, what’s so hot about digital products? Interestingly enough, we’re back to the name of this article How about 7 reasons why:

1. Simplicity

As soon as you have the pieces in place, it’s virtually maintenance free. There is almost no support. Which means there nothing for you to actually *do*. You’re building a completely automated business.

You don’t have any inventory. There’s nothing to ship. It’s all delivered online.

2. Repackaging

When you have a created a few information products. You can combine them together to create new high ticket products. It’s a simple matter to merge a few ebooks into one. And you’ll be able to charge much more for this “new” product. Your customers will gladly pay more for a single bigger ebook. Instead of several small ebooks.

3. Resellers

Since it’s your product, you can offer other people the resale rights. Resell rights are very hot right now, because it’s much easier to get the resell right than to make your own product. And what’s more you can charge double, even triple your selling price for resell rights!

4. Leverage

Leverage means doing something once and reaping multiple rewards. Use part of it to make an autoresponder series. And build your list with it. A list is it’s own reward!

5. More leverage

Utilize your content in as many ways as you can – like creating a few reports from parts of the ebook. Then you can use the reports as the front-end of your product funnel. You can give them away or even charge a small amount for them. And you’re creating targeted leads for your main product all along. You can even make these viral by allowing your affiliates to give them away. Which brings us to…

6. An army of affiliates

This is one of the biggest reasons of all. When you own your own products. You’re able to let other people market it for you. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a bunch of other people doing your marketing for you? Well, you *need* your own product to get affiliates.

7. Joint Ventures

I’ve saved the best for last. Joint ventures are the biggest short cut to success known to man. That makes this is the biggest reason for creating your own info products. Without your own products, you can’t do JVs.

Summary

If you’re not convinced to start selling information products, then you’ve probably been sleeping. You’ll become the ruler of your own fate. Because it’s your business and you control it. So just get started:

  • Head over to Yahoo! answers
  • See what people are asking about
  • Start providing information

Don’t make info product creation any more complicated than that. And in short time you’ll have the foundation for your own info product.

Using Web Audio for Success

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

There is no doubt that web page audio significantly increases results. In fact, not using audio is a big mistake. Audio increases opt-ins. It boosts sales, too.

Why does it work?

It’s not hard to figure out. The web is mostly silent. Audio adds a human quality to your site. And adds the feel of a real live person. Audio literally breathes life into your website. Which fascinates greater interaction from your visitors.

Some more benefits

There are actually two profit boosts from using audio. First, you’ll make more sales. And you’ll spend less getting those customers. You won’t have to hire someone to write your sales letter. You can just add your own audio. Your honest message about your product will sell better than a professional copywriter.

You’ll also get better conversions on your list opt-ins. People need to be told exactly what to do. Just add a short audio message saying: Fill in your name and email and click submit. Just this one simple thing will boost opt-ins up to 315%!

How to use website audio

A guided tour. It’s the same as when you use audio to increase your subscribers. You can use audio to tell your visitors exactly what to do. Use this to lead them through the ordering process, as well.

Testimonials for your product or service. It’s good to get written testimonials. But audio testimonials are great! You can just make up written one and people know that. Using audio makes it much more believable. And that increases your results.

Here’s a bonus tip

What about creating an entire product using audio? You’ll be able to produce audio products faster than any other kind. And your customers will be very happy with the product. Podcasts are still popular, so this is a great format. And you can get someone to transcribe them for very little money. This much easier than writing the eBook yourself!

Is adding audio hard?

It’s so simple you won’t believe it. There’s software that will show you how to add audio to a website. The software does all the work. The software creates the audio button code for you. Just paste the code you copy from the software. There’s nothing to worry about.

In closing

Here’s a recap of the benefits. Setting up some web audio will do wonders for all your results. You’ll enjoy more customer sales. You’ll get more subscribers. And you can use it to create products and sales letters quickly. You’ll be one of the few you use these strategies. But audio is a really big time and money saver. Don’t be lazy! Add some audio today. ;-)

Sneaky Affiliate Tricks

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

Affiliate marketing can be very difficult to break into. This is because there are already a lot of people doing it. In order to survive you have to beat your competition. And the sea of information about this doesn’t make it any easier. Here’s one trick that almost no one else is using.

Video marketing

The power of video is undeniable. People love watching videos and that’s why they’re everywhere. It’s so much easier to keep people’s attention with video. So using it in your affiliate promotions is a no-brainer!

Examples of how to use video for affiliate marketing:

  • Testimonials
  • Record a walk-through
  • Do an ordering video
  • Record a preview of the members area

Do a testimonial video

This is probably the easiest of all. Just click record on your web cam and start talking. It does not need to be polished or pro. Listening to your honest endorsement makes your viewers feel comfortable buying. In truth, mistakes and mess-ups just make it more believable. So serious, just turn on the camera and talk. And if you don’t want to show your face, use one of the next ideas.

Do a video walk-through

This is a great way to promote something without selling it. Make this more like a tutorial helping them use the product. And while they watch you use it, they think, “I should buy that.” As long as the product is good, the tutorial makes them want it. So pick some really helpful aspect of the product and show how to use that.

Ordering

This could be the most powerful method of all. Record yourself placing an order. Watching you make a live purchase will inspire your viewer like nothing else. In the first place it acts as social proof. In general people are more likely to something they’ve seen other people do. This also makes your viewers trust you. They are much more likely to take your advice to buy when you’ve taken it yourself. And finally, it creates envy. It’s simple – you have it. Now they want it. You can add some extra punch to this by ending with: If you want to see the inside, you’ll have to order it yourself.

Do a preview video

This one is perfect for building up the value of what you’re promoting. In this case you record a screen share of the inside of the product. And show them everything they get by ordering. It also reduces the reservations of skeptics. Once they’ve seen the back-end, they know it’s real.

It’s easy!

You don’t need any special training for this. There are simple software programs that make it easy to create videos. The software really does all the work So you don’t have to worry about the technical part of this at all. Remain focused on the benefits:

  • Increase sales You will increase your affiliate sales when you start using videos. People like video, so start using it.
  • Less refunds You’ll lose less of the commission your earn. Now they know what they get before they purchase. So they’ll be less likely to refund.
  • Outdo your competitors! This is a really easy thing to do. But only a very small percentage do it. This puts you out in front of the rest.

Get started right now and take your affiliate marketing to the next level. Not using video is detrimental to you business. So do it!

Email List Building Strategies

Friday, August 13th, 2010

If you’re going to be successful in internet marketing, you need to build a list. It’s the one thing above all else that matters most. Once you have a list built, you can market to it again and again. It’s a resource you can tap at any time and generate income.

Now you now why. Here’s how:

There are 3 factors in list building you need to consider:

  • The Squeeze Page
  • The Incentive
  • The Thank You Page

Your Landing Page – The squeeze page is the first thing your visitor is going to see. It’s the page where you ask them for their email address. This page needs to look professional. And it needs to be simple to see how to opt in. And your call to action must be clear!

The biggest mistake you can make is not having a clear call to action. Your call to action tells the visitor what to do. And if you don’t include it, they won’t opt in. Oddly, if you don’t make it clear, people will be confused and end up doing nothing.

One way to really spice up your squeeze page is to add a video to it. Adding video will help keep your visitors attention. And you can repeat the call to action several times int he video. And you can have the video just tell them to fill in your form after it’s done playing.

It’s OK, if you’ve never made a video before. Hiring out-sourced help to do it for you only costs $150 – $250. Or you can get email list tools that have everything pre-built for you.

Your Bribe – Next, you’ve got to figure out what your bribe is. People won’t give you their email for nothing. Email privacy is very important to most people. So make your “bribe” a good one!

The only way to make this work is to provide real value. Then it becomes something people want to get from you. And something from which they can derive a benefit. For example:

  • A report
  • Some useful software
  • Training videos
  • An email training series

Basically, you just need some content. Something that’s useful and helpful to your visitors. And of course it has to be free. But to get the email, it’s got to be a good offer.

If you’re worried about creating this content, don’t be. You can just pay someone else to make it for you. Just give them a topic and they will write the content. A 5-part email series is a good freebie. You can have ghost writers create emails for under $25 an email. So, you’ll get the whole series written for under $150.

There are also list building products that include the follow up email series. Two things to keep in mind when writing (or buying) and email training series. The first thing is that it delivers value to your subscribers. It also has to generate revenue for you! The easiest way to do this is to market affiliate products in the emails. Affiliate products are easy because you don’t have to do anything at all. And it enables you to generate cash right away from your new list.

The Opt-in Success Page – Finally, you need to consider your opt-in confirmation page. After subscribing to your list, your visitor is redirected to this page. It’s a great idea to give them some valuable information right on the thank you page. That way, they feel glad that they gave you their email address. It also sets the foundation for your relationship with them. It also makes them more likely to open your emails.

This is another case where you can get a complete marketing package. Or you can go the DIY route. You can either write the content pages on your own. Or pay a freelancer to write the content for you.

Summary

Whether you decide to build your email funnel yourself. Or if you hire people to do this for you. Or go with a complete package. The key is to start building your list. Once you’ve got it built. You’re free to make money at the push of a button.

Affiliate Business Tips

Preselling for profit

The most important thing you can do to increase your affiliate commissions is to presell properly.

Before we begin, we need to first define what preselling is. Well, it is an art. And it’s also a science. The goal is to get your reader prepped to make a purchase. Then you send them to the site that sells what you’ve prepared them for. And when it’s done correctly, they don’t know it’s happening.

The gist is that you give your reader some useful information. And give them a link to the product you’re preselling. In just a minute, I’ll explain exactly how to presell. First, it’s important to understand why we do it. Some major benefits of this process:

  • It builds trust – Once you have your readers’ trust, they will click your links more readily. And the more clicks you get the more sales you’ll make.
  • Preselling is disarming – When you’re preselling vs. pitching, you’re reader doesn’t feel the need to be guarded. This means they are more open to what you’re saying. And your intention is conveyed more easily.
  • It creates buying readiness – Your readers are now receiving your message. And in turn, they’re open to other messages, as well. This includes the sales website you send them to! Being open to a sales message is what it means being in a buying mood.
  • Your commissions go up – You’ve prepped them and referred them in the right state of mind. With the guard down and trusting your recommendation. The only thing that can result is increased sales!
  • It increases customer satisfaction – Plus, they feel they’ve made the buying decision on their own. Instead of being manipulated into buying. So they are happier with their purchase.
  • It boosts your profits – Satisfied customers are less like to refund. Less refunds means more affiliate money stays in your pocket.

The need to presell is clear. You increase your profits. And increase your customer satisfaction. That’s a clear win-win.

Now, here’s how preselling works:

OK, now you understand why it’s so important. And hopefully you’re convinced you need to start doing it. So, let’s talk about how to make it work. Like we talked about before, it’s an art. And it’s a science.

The art of preselling

First, you have to gain the trust of your reader, so they let their guard down. And the only method of doing this is to give exceptional value to your readers. Now, providing enough info to be useful, but still making them want more – that’s the art of it. That is, they have to be wanting more when you refer them to the product sales page for the product you’re trying to sell. And because you’ve gained trust, they’re more receptive to the sales message and more likely to buy.

Scientific preselling

There are also several key elements that need to be included.

The first is how you present the information. You need to know where you’re going before you begin. Your goal is to sell the product you’re promoting. You use the information to do this in one of two ways. The first method is to provide enough info to get them started, but not enough to finish. The second way is to provide all the information and let your reader discover how hard it is to actually implement it. Whichever method, you send them to a product website that solves the problem you just created.

Next, you have to use “convert linking” methods. Instead you link directly to the product sales page. When you do this, you’re click-throughs go way up. But how are you going to get credit for the sale, if you don’t include your affiliate link? Well, that’s part of the science of this whole process. You “pre-cookie” your reader before sending them to the sales page.

You also want to link to the sales page from inside your article’s content. Hyperlinked words are clicked more than anything else. And if the words you hyperlink relate, your reader will naturally click them for more information.

What you have now is a super powerful system for affiliate marketing success.

Unfortunately…

This process is not easy – at all! Let’s talk about everything required to put this plan into action: Good content. The entire process depends on your being able to provide useful information to your readers. This means you have to be able to write well, and have enough knowledge to be useful. Writing to presell. Yes, you must providing useful content. And you have to make the content accessible in order to provide value. And somehow also make them want to learn more. Or provide so much information that they see how hard it will be to implement.

Choosing your products. Next, you’ve got to pick the right product to presell. If you can manage to get the article written well. You’ve wasted all your effort if the product doesn’t sell well.

The technical know-how And finally, you need the technical know-how to embed your image tag and make sure you get credit for the sale. This is actually pretty simple – just embed a 1 pixel X 1 pixel image and set your affiliate link as the “source” of the image. (But if you do it wrong, you won’t get paid for the traffic you send.)

Wrapping it up:

Now you’re armed with the information needed to effectively presell. Preselling properly will boost your affiliate profits up to 500%! The important thing is to use these techniques for everything you promote as an affiliate. Don’t wait another minute. Put in the effort to reap the greater rewards.

Traffic Generation Tips

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

Everyone knows the number one thing you need to be successful online is traffic to your website. Obviously, this assumes you actually have a reason for wanting this traffic. What you do with the traffic when it gets to your site could be any number of things. The important thing is getting the traffic and sustaining it.

Let’s talk about how to generate traffic…

Here’s a short list of great, free traffic generating methods:

  • Web 2.0
  • Article Websites
  • Video

OK, so how do they work?

Web 2.0 Methods

A Web 2.0 site gives its users the ability to interact with each other and create the site’s content together. These are great sites to work with because they allow you to participate in this content creation. Because these sites get so much traffic, Google and the other search engines treat these sites with greater importance in their algorithms. Which means the content on them gets “indexed” faster and with more weight. By placing links to your websites in this content you’ve created, you get traffic from the site and search engine ranking for the keywords you choose. This is the hidden benefit of using Web 2.0 sites. There are many more web 2.0 traffic tactics we don’t have time to get into here, but this will get you started.

Article Websites

Article marketing really builds on the Web 2.0 concept. Article sites are in essence web 2.0 websites. In typical web 2.0 fashion, article sites rely on user-generated content (i.e. your articles). And just like other web 2.0 sites, you get all the SEO benefits from having your content on them. And the hidden benefit here is that your reach grows as other people take your articles and put them on their blogs and sites. And along with your article, they have to include your author information and a link back to you – so you get more free traffic and SEO benefits. If you want to generate traffic from articles follow these steps:

  • Figure out what keywords you want to go after
  • Tailor the content of your article for the keywords
  • Be sure to link to your site on the keywords you’ve chosen. Do this inside the article itself and in your author’s bio.

Video

The last of this group is video marketing. Once again, this is really a sub-set of web 2.0. So, just like article marketing, video marketing enables you to add content to authority sites. And in addition to this, because Google and the others love video so much, you can get listed for highly competitive keywords much more easily.

Here are just a few video marketing tips:

  • Set up your YouTube account
  • Turn off all the modules in your account profile
  • Add tags to your profile
  • Add a link to your website
  • Add at least one video to your profile
  • For each video use your keywords in the tags, the descriptions and the title

Putting it all together.

This is a great overview to get your started generating massive traffic to your site.

Membership Niche Selection Tips

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Let’s talk about niche selection. This is very important to ensuring the profitability of your membership website.

Number 1 – Discover Niches with Fanatics

The first step in developing a profitable membership business is to find a market with fanatics in it. What’s a fanatic? It’s someone who is so excited about a certain topic that they will spend their time and money on information about it. Here’s how to find fanatics:

  • One simple idea that’s easily forgotten is to scan the magazine racks when you’re out and about. Because it’s becoming harder and harder to keep print periodicals profitable these days, if you see a magazine on the shelves, you know it’s making money. And that means there are lots of people interested in it. If they can make money in a print version, you can probably make money with a membership website.
  • Pay attention throughout the day in your regular activities. See what people are talking about on the radio, TV, at parties, in public, etc. People generally talk about things they are interested in. Which means you can start a membership business providing information on it.
  • Don’t forget about clubs and organizations. If there are enough people to to build a club, there are certainly enough people to start a membership site on the same topic. Conventions are expensive to hold and attend, so if one if going on that’s another strong indication of a good niche to go into with your membership website.
  • Think about the things that you are interested in. There’s a good chance that others are interested in these things, as well. The icing on the cake here is that you get to build a business doing something you love.
  • Google Trends. This is a great way to figure out what people are interested in. This service shows you the current most popular search terms. These topics are the hottest topics because lots and lots of people want information about them. These are the niches you want to be in – lots of people actively searching means lots of opportunity.

Next – Figure out if there’s money in it

After selecting a possible niche to build your membership site around, the next step is to find out if it’s a profitable niche to be in. One way to figure this out is to see if other are making money in it.

Here’s how to determine if you can make money in your chosen niche

  • First go to Google and type in the name of your niche followed by “blog” and “forum”. If there are blogs and forums related to it, that’s a good sign. This lets you know there is a market (a group of people actively interested in the niche.)
  • See if other people are creating and selling product in this niche by searching in Google Shopping, ebay and Amazon. If other people are creating and selling products in this niche, it means there is money to be made.
  • Look at Google Adwords for the same ads are running over time. If people are running the same ad over time it means they are making money in the niche. They would not continue to spend money on the ads if there were not making a return from them.

Step 3 – Determine ease of entry

Once you’ve found a niche and figured out that there is money to be made in, you need to determine if you can break into this niche. Here are some things to look at to figure this out:

  • Figure out what kinds of products people are interested in. If it’s mostly physical products, coaching and live seminars, then it will be harder to break into this niche. The easiest membership website to create and maintain are information membership sites.
  • The next thing to look at is the competition. You don’t want to try to break into a saturated marketing, so figure out how many people are already selling in this niche.
  • Unless the market is just so big that it doesn’t matter how many competitors there are, you want to limit the competition. So evaluate the size vs. the competition.
  • How ready is the market for marketing messages, and how willing are the fanatics to buy. Every market is different. Sometimes people are looking for information and are ready to pay for it right now. And sometimes it takes weeks, months or even years for them to make the decision to purchase.

In Summary

OK, now that you’ve figured out what niche you’re going to go into. Determined there is money to be made and that the competition is not too strong to break into it. You’re ready to start your membership business. If you’ve followed along with these steps you’re success in practically guaranteed. The only thing left to cover is exactly how to run your membership business

Traffic is King, but this comes FIRST

Monday, August 9th, 2010

Visitors to your site are critical – getting them there automatically is even better. Here’s how…

But, first…

Keyword research is really the first step in getting traffic to your website. This is because you will building your traffic funnels around specific keywords. This means it’s critical to select your keywords properly.

Here are the important considerations for your research:

  • Are the keywords you’re interested in attainable? You’ll have to analyze the competition and see what’s out there for this.
  • Are these “buying” keywords? If you don’t do your research you’ll end up with a lot of traffic that doesn’t buy from you. What you want is buyers!
  • Another thing to think about is affiliates. If you want to build a huge business, you’re going to need affiliates to help you. So make sure you are also targeting keywords to attract affiliates.

Although this is an essential step, doing it all by hand can take a very long time. Experts are expensive and don’t guarantee results. Which is why practically none of your competitors will do this! What I recommend is using website traffic software to save the time of doing it yourself and the money of hiring someone else. Using tools like this speed up the process and improve your results, too!

Once you know your keywords…

Once you’ve done your properly keyword research, you’re now ready to start targeting these keywords to draw in visitors.

Here’s a short list of sneaky traffic techniques:

  • Something you may not have ever considered is Surveys
  • “Help” Websites
  • Video Websites

Surveys

The truth is that people really enjoy taking surveys and finding out what other people think. And smart website owners know this, so they will include your survey on their site if you make a good one. It’s a win-win. They get a great perk on their site and you get a link back to yours. Think about that – you get website traffic for free just for making a survey! Most people think surveys are just for collecting data, but in this case you don’t even care about the answers. Just make the question interesting enough that people will want to share it with their own visitors.

“Traffic Traps”

Sites like Yahoo! Answers allow users to ask and answer each others’ questions. However, you’re interest in these sites is not to ask and answer questions. The other thing they can be used for is to get traffic to your site, leads for your business and sales! Of course, the process of digging through these sites and pulling out the content info of leads for your business is very time consuming. But a much smarter method is to use website traffic software to do it for you. Then you just get a daily batch of fresh leads delivered to your inbox.

Video Sharing Sites

No doubt you’re aware of YouTube and other video websites. In fact, YouTube has over 2 billion videos watched per day! If used properly, video sites can get you more website traffic than you know what to do with.

Even if you don’t think you can make a good video. It’s really easy to just start with an article or something you’ve already written. And use free screen capture software to record yourself reading it. And like anything else, there is software available that will turn articles into videos for you automatically.

In Closing

Getting traffic is not that difficult. Use your noodle and come up with things other people aren’t doing. And today there are tons of options for software tools that can help with every part of this process.

So, start right now and:

  • Step 1 is researching your keywords
  • Then create some surveys born to go viral
  • Take advantage of the “help” sites
  • Capitalize on video!
